Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, join us for an exploration of the Olympic Mountains and the Hood Canal. Become a member of our club and discover the beauty of our rural surroundings.

Here’s how it works:
Take on a series of challenges to explore our region. Complete each challenge to earn a badge and become a Brinnon Adventurer.



To earn badges:


· Follow our Facebook page or visit our Country Store to get your list of challenges to start your adventure.


· Once you complete the challenges, share your photos on social media with the hashtags #BrinnonAdventureClub and #CoveRVParkandCountryStore. If you don’t have social media, you can show proof of your completed challenge with photos at the store.


· Visit our Country Store to receive your badges. Ready to explore? Join the Brinnon Adventure Club today and have a great time exploring the beauty of Brinnon!

Badges you can earn



Brinnon Elk Herd Badge



Capture a photo of our local elk herd in their natural habitat. This badge acknowledges your appreciation for wildlife. Remember to maintain a safe distance and respect their environment.



Top of Mt. Walker Badge



Reach the summit of Mt. Walker by driving or hiking. This badge is a testament to your eagerness to explore our local landscape and appreciate the panoramic views.



Oyster Shucker Badge



Learn the art of oyster shucking and enjoy fresh seafood. This badge recognizes your culinary skills and love for local cuisine.



Mushroom Forager Badge



Explore the forests and learn about local edible mushrooms. This badge celebrates your knowledge of fungi. If ever in doubt, please do not eat them! There are old mushroom foragers and bold mushroom foragers, but no old and bold mushroom foragers.



Hood Canal Crabbing Badge



Experience crabbing in the Hood Canal and learn about local marine life. By setting traps, catching, and preparing crabs, you’ll showcase your ability to navigate the waters and enjoy the fruits of your labor.



Fjord Foodie Badge



This badge recognizes your appreciation for local cuisine, whether it’s savoring fresh seafood at the Hama Hama Oyster Saloon, indulging in pizza and a pint at Quilbilly’s, exploring delicious sandwich options at Gearhead Deli, enjoying the view and the chowder at the Geoduck, savoring homemade pies at the Halfway House, or watching the boats at the Crow's Nest Bistro.



Kayak the Fjord Badge



Explore the fjord by kayaking and enjoying the beaUty of nature by water. This badge recognizes your ability to appreciate nature while engaging in outdoor recreation. Check out Hood Canal Adventures online for tours and rentals.



Fjord Diver Badge



Discover underwater wonders by diving in the fjord. This badge signifies your passion for marine exploration and appreciation of aquatic life. Check out Jade Scuba Adventures and Pallin' Around Charters in our park for tours and rentals.



I Got a Geoduck Badge



Demonstrate your skill in harvesting geoduck, a unique and prized local delicacy. This badge recognizes your ability to locate, dig, and successfully harvest this fascinating clam species, showcasing your connection to the local coastal environment.



Berry Forager Badge



Explore berry patches and learn about local flora. This badge acknowledges your knack for identifying and collecting ripe berries, whether it’s wild blueberries, blackberries, or huckleberries, highlighting your love for nature’s sweet rewards. Bonus points if you identify berries unique to this region. Again, when in doubt, don’t eat it!



Clam Digger Badge



Delve into the sandy shores and master the art of clam digging. This badge celebrates your skill in locating, digging, and safely harvesting clams.



Guidelines:



· Receive one free badge per person per day.


· Additional badges are available for purchase.


· Mushroom and berry badges are earned by collecting or spotting edible varieties only. As with all foraging, be sure to check with local rules and regulations.


· For oyster, crab and clam harvesting, remember to check the tide charts and follow regulations to ensure they are safe to harvest on that day as well as sustainability for future harvesters. For rules and regulations, check out https://wdfw.wa.gov/
